Near Chartham Hatch, Kent – 6/10

Though maybe not supported by the die-hard stile traditionalists, this contemporary approach of also providing a point of entrance (complete with instructions) for our canine friends proves that the stile community is a welcoming and open-minded parish.

The stile itself adopts the modern ‘cross steps’ design and though solid in structure, is at a rather unsavoury angle, while the wood used is solid in density but rather rough and cracked. Though it does not hamper the navigation of the stile, this does put a slight dampener on the experience, but a real solid effort.
