A very poor effort. The ‘cross steps’ design is one of the more favoured in the stile world due to its functionality and practicality.

However, poor housekeeping has lead to one step being discarded on the side and the style itself is very unstable. Unfortunately, this image is symbolic of disregard and lack of appreciation for stiles in 21st Century Britain. Even though the height from step to bar is within the industry standard of 450mm, this is still a generally unpleasant stile experience.
