A decent effort here, with brownie points given for the cross-step design, though the designer has gone slightly off-piste here with the horizontal rails being above the steps instead of below. Those from the stile world are an open-minded group and are certainly willing to forgive this slight flaw as the steps and rails are at a good navigable height, while foundations and structure are sound.
However, in order to maintain the necessary high standards expected and future excellence, marks do have to be deducted for the below par standard of the wood used and the general lack of upkeep, especially the lower step. Presentation is just as important as comfort and usability, and marks do have to be deducted for this.
