Near Fordwich, Kent – 3/10

This is a sight that produces equal feelings of great frustration and sorrow. This stile looks ready to succumb to nature as years of neglect have left it quite literally in the wilderness. There may be practical reasons why there is now a gap used, but it really does take the romance out of it.

The stile itself looks like it was half decent when in its prime, with a double cross step design and triple bars all at good heights and a use of decent, solid materials that are put together very well.

However, marks are also awarded to maintenance and presentation (or in this case deducted for a severe lack of) meaning that in its current sad state, I am forced to give this a low mark.
