Good construction is not the only key to a great stile, but also regular maintenance is required, and the latter is certainly lacking here! The stile itself is (literally) just about passable, with just the single step and triple rail design making navigation slightly tricky, while the wood used for the frame is not as solid or as sturdy as should be expected, but is okay.

Marks however must also be deducted for not only the fact that nature has been allowed to regain control, but there are those rather threatening stinging nettles ready to catch out those with bare legs!
