Near Hoath, Kent – 5/10

This may well be one of oldest surviving stiles in the world, and it is an absolute travesty that this is not a UNESCO World Heritage Site! This is of course a primitive design using the materials of the age, but credit has to be given for the fact that this historical artefact has stood the test of time and still serves its function perfectly well.
