Near Calcott, Kent – 3/10

Yet another lacklustre stile that looks like it is feeling rather sorry for itself and will fall down in a strong gust of wind, while the materials used suggest that it was intentionally built with the least durable pieces of wood available. The single step itself is solid enough and at a decent height in relation to two bars but would have been enhanced if there were that second step, that despite being commonly accepted as a necessity in modern stile design, it is still depressingly underused.
