Near Calcott, Kent – 4/10

A rather low key offering this one in terms of its design, but the one step used at the very base of the stile makes navigation tricky, particularly for those with short legs. The stile itself is solid and sturdy enough for now, but the obvious lack of maintenance and current state of the wood suggests that will not last for long. There is an obvious refusal of the landowner to do anything about actual access to the stile that makes it quite obvious that they very begrudgingly let people use the public rights of way over their land, and want to do all they can to deter people from using these legitimate rights.
