Near Great Chart, Kent – 6/10

An unspectacular, but certainly adequate offering this one. Marks certainly are to be added for the implementation of the traditional cross-step design, and the two steps are at a decent height in relation to the bars but are not quite as far apart as they should be. The rest of the stile is adequate in terms of its overall design, but marks have to be deducted for the fact it is quite wobbly (due to a lack of the appropriate foundations) and the wood used being not the strongest for both the stile’s frame and the steps used – this is perfectly demonstrated by the sizable crack that has appeared in the bottom step that will only get bigger over time.
