The design of the actual stile itself is very much textbook, and in all the good ways! The design is solid, stable and functional – everything that a stile should be! The wood used is solid and the construction of the various crucial elements (posts, bars, steps – the holy trinity indeed!) is very good, producing a reassuringly stable stile that is certainly very easy to navigate from that point of view. The icing on the cake is most certainly the cross-step design, with both steps at a very nice and functional height in relation to the bars. However, the main let down here is the quite numerous reels of barbed wire; these should have been kept further away from the posts and are a bit too near where people are likely to place their hands for comfort, meaning more caution is required than truly should be the case.
