It would appear that the rustic look has very much been the intention here (well, at least that is the result – ‘intention’ does suggest a modicum of effort) with a mixture of different wood used that certainly varies in quality, which suggests that the landowner just used what they had leftover to reluctantly build a stile. Yet again we only get the single step, which is admittedly at a decent height, but those bars do not exactly induce much confidence in terms of the user being able to use them for mid-navigation support. Some housekeeping is also required with those plants that are only going to restrict access even more than they do already.
