What a nasty, horrible and completely egregious mess that actually serves as a total blotch on the surrounding area of its location! The cacophonic pieces of wood that are used here are a total visual detritus, and when coming across this absolute mess it makes the walker just want to rather just turn back then justifying this horrible thing’s existence by actually navigating it!
Admittedly navigation is not overly strenuous due to the sole step used being very near to the lowly placed top bar – but that fact is no way complementary to this god-awful sorry excuse for a stile, in fact it does render the question as to why there is actually a ‘stile’ here at all, and not just a gap between the two posts. Meanwhile, it also happens to have exposed barbed wire ready to give out some tetanus to the more slightly unaware walker!
It genuinely feels like this ‘stile’ is actually here ironically as some hideous act of dissent by the landowner as they begrudgingly have to allow the public to use their perfectly legitimate right of way over their land.
