Near Wye, Kent – 6/10

This absolute hodgepodge of pieces of wood used here suggests the landowner begrudgingly fulfilled their obligations here using whatever random pieces of wood they could find. While this stile does admittedly just about serve its function, it is certainly not aesthetically appealing on any level.

The generously sized, but solitary, step has plenty of room for even the biggest pair of feet to be placed on simultaneously, and the top beam is at a decent height in relation to it – so navigation is admittedly easy enough. Well, I say navigation is easy if you can actually get to the stile through all of those overgrown stinging nettles – those wearing shorts are likely to emerge with some itchy scars on their legs!
