Near Canterbury, Kent – 0/10

Well, if you thought the last stile I reviewed was bad, then this one is a real shocker! This is without a doubt the worst example of a stile that I have ever seen, and calling it a stile just feels completely inappropriate, but it technically is. The general definition of ‘stile’ is ‘a step or series of steps that allows people (but not animals) to climb over a fence or wall.’ There is a kind of step, so it does fit this definition in the very loosest sense, but an actual fence would be easier the climb over! There is quite literally nothing about this ‘stile’ that is redeeming, and so for the first time ever I am being left with no choice but to give it a big fat zero! Navigation of this hideous detritus truly is a challenge, and the landowner should be truly ashamed of themselves,

As per my previous entry, I once again feel it necessary to prove that this monstrosity genuinely is supposed to be means of access for a legitimate public right of way by showing the ‘footpath’ sign pointing right at this, err, thing. Though the addition of this sign does feel like some kind of sick and hideously unfunny joke!
